-Ancestral houses in Batangas-

We often see and found old houses around Batangas but the most popular town with more old houses is Taal,Batangas.All buildings even new constructed buildings are in retro style required by the municipality.Most of the ancestral houses are well maintained by the government for the big contribution of it to the country.One of the owner is Marcela Agoncillo the owner ofthe creator of our Philippine flag.Gregorio Agoncillo the owner of Gregorio Agoncillo Mansion and the one who introduced sugar cane industry and joined the revolution.Gliceria Marella De Villavicencio the owner of casa villa vicencio.Casa Villavicencio is used in the time of revolution as headquarters.Infact granchildren and great grand children of Gliceria Marella De villavicencio use to gather here during weekend as there bonding moment and for maintenance of the house.Marcela Angoncillo and Gregorio Agoncillo donate their houses for tourist and to be known its contribution to the country.

-Libingan ng Mga kastila-

This ruined cementery use to be cementery for priest and prominent people during 1800’s and was closed in 1895.After the closure it becomes popular in town as a tourist spot.The cementery is located about a block at the back of the taal basilica.This is once a burial ground of taal spanish elites.It was also where they buried those who succumed to the cholera epedemic that hit Taal back in the early of 20th century.The discoverer of it is Monsignor Fred Madlangbayan and ask for donations to improve it to have benches and to presentable for tourist.During the clean up they discover remaining bones and now displayed behind a glass enclosure behind the site.

-Apolinario Mabini shrine-

Apolinario Mabini shrine is located at Barangay Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas, the Shrine marks the birthplace of Apolinario Mabini. Along the Tanauan-Talisay highway, it harbors a library, a museum, and his remains. You can see the statue of Mabini rises between two imposing pylons when you enter the shrine. Two rooms flank the stairs behind the pylons.

Inside the museum, there are precious historical things that were used by Mabini and all part of Mabini’s life. Such as , water jar(banga) eyeglasses, wheelchair, and other memorabilia are kept and displayed behind glass walls. Several paintings and Pictures of Mabini also displayed inside. Inside the other room, the Library, were books are about him and used by him .In the side of the museum can saw the replica of his family hut .Apolinario Mabini is the head of the filipino revolution and known as “dakilang lumpo”.
